Project Life - Weeks 20 and 21

Wednesday, May 29, 2013

Supplies used this fortnight: Journaling cards from Paislee Press 'on my desk'.  I recoloured the woodgrain to the green colour.
Collages from Tracy Larson 'the simply white collection'... what a time saver these are:)  Loving collages balanced with larger photos to fit a lot on the page without overcrowding.
Page Protectors Becky Higgins Project Life A

The collage I made in the post below will slot in the middle in an 8.5x11 page protector.  Just need to finish a page for the reverse side about her movie day with friends.

The weekend is coming up fast... a long one for us in New Zealand as it's Queen's Birthday weekend.

Thanks for stopping by,

Project Life - Week 19

Wednesday, May 22, 2013

What's different this week?  Not a lot - simplicity is still my mantra.  Plus I did a double page spread.
Mother's Day was a great photo op with my teens!  They can't refuse me on this day!  In fact we all took some of the shots which make up the lower right collage (see close up below).
There were some amazing fine days among all the rain. Just as well as the building (a childcare we are project managing) is on a time line going backwards!

The 'grateful for you' was a free digital download from Ali Edwards via Designer Digitals I think, but I can't find a link.  It may have been a one time special.
Sometimes you find the best photos in the most unexpected places!  I adore this pic of my daughter - a selfie taken on her ipod for her FB profile!

Likewise, the photos of my son.  He was messing about in my office with the dog, so I picked up my camera and took about 6 fast shots - resulting in some happy, relaxed photos which are hard to achieve with him usually!  I used a NSD free download from Studio Calico to make the "fave" added to this collage.
My daughter is reading the French version of Matilda!  I used a freebie chevron washie tape download but sorry, I have lost the link from 2012.
Other products used were:
Paislee Press - on my desk journaling card;(OMGosh, so tempted to buy everything she creates!); BH Seafoam filler cards.
Am a long way down the track with Weeks 20 and current week!  Have been crazy using templates!  I made up my own until now but have purchased some to make my life simpler.. will share more next time.   I've also been busy making photo books so hope to share soon.x
Thanks for stopping by, Donna xx

PL Weeks 17 and 18 insert

Wednesday, May 15, 2013

Have just finished 2 insert pages covering 2 special days out.  The first was a visit to Pier 21 area on Auckland's waterfront.  The lighting was beautiful for photos that afternoon so I had a ball.
Last weekend we went on an impromptu trip to The Bay of Islands for a work related matter.  Despite the bad weather, it was a great day.  It's a piece of paradise up there:)

Here's how it looks in the album.

Project Life - Weeks 17 and 18

Wednesday, May 8, 2013

Week 17 - The first week of the school holidays.  It was also hubby's birthday, so most of the photos relate to that.
Week 18 - School holidays, a visit to the Orthodontist, work site visits.  I love the photo of my daughter in her room.  Had to take that before she ordered me out!  I also used another webcam shot of the dog with me!  Whatever works for the moment to be recorded.

I love the colours in this spread.  I used BH Seafoam and Midnight Editions, as well as a NSD freebie from Studio Calico.

Also working on an insert to cover extra photos.  I'll post about that later this week.
I've also linked up with The Mom Creative - PL Tuesday
